Upcoming Projects
Projects have a base price of $200 per month, that's $20/hour (not including 16.5 hours of free Makerspace hours) compared to traditional tutoring which is $25/hour or higher. Additional payment is added for the cost of materials (such as Arduino kits, plastic cost, etc.). Students meet once a week for 2 hours and 30 minutes to work on their project while the amount of weeks varies based on the project.

Summer Camps
Need a fun and informative activity over the summer? Summer Camps are for students in grades 6-12 while out of school for summer break. Runs weekdays from 9-12 or 12:30-3:30 for either 1 or 2 weeks.
Solar Remote Controlled Cars (Grades 6-10)
Starts on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 9:00am-12:00pm and meets on weekdays for 1 week.
Description: Learn about solar energy and create a solar powered RC Toy Car! Areas of learning include: computer aided design software (CAD), 3D printing, electronic circuits, soldering, solar energy basics, electromagnetic waves, radio controllers, and more. Students also learn safety, teamwork, agile development methodology, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Web Video Production (Grades 7-12)
Starts on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 12:30pm-3:30pm and meets on weekdays for 2 weeks. (No class on July 4th).
Description: Learn to create your own custom web videos! Work with a team to create a 10 to 15 minute long documentary film! Areas of learning include: Story-boarding, audio and video recording, lighting, effects techniques, chroma key (green screen), audio/video editing, computer “screen casting”, graphics, color correction, presentation and voice-over techniques. Students also learn safety, teamwork, agile development methodology, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

2-Hour Workshops
Workshops for students in grades 6-12 (parents welcome!). Although it’s not required, these workshops are a great opportunity to bring a parent along and spend some quality time learning together.

Intro to Arduino.

You’ll create a basic electronic circuit with various sensors and control its operation with a simple computer program. The Arduino workshop meets once for 2 hours and includes an Arduino starter kit that you can take home. Workshop price: $60. |

Intro to CAD and 3D Printing with Onshape.
No Times Currently Scheduled Get started with the best online 3D CAD software available. We’ll help you get set up with an account and design you first 3D model. We’ll discuss strategies, tips, and solutions to common CAD and 3D printing challenges. Come back a few days later to pick up your 3D printed design (full size or scale model depending on size). If you want, you can continue to work on your project from home and enhance it prior to having it 3D printed. The CAD and 3D printing workshop meets once for 2 hours. Workshop price: $30. |

Create a Website with Weebly.

We’ll guide you through the setting up an account, choosing a theme, and building your site with the online tools.
